This Breakout is an interactive resource made with Genially. The objective of the game is to review all the contents and the grammar that we have worked on in class throughout the term.

I have made groups of 4-5 students and I gave two chromebooks to each team: one to translate words they don’t understand and the other to play the Breakout. It has worked very well. Once a team reached the end, I gave them a code to open 1 lock. When all the teams completed all the missions and opened the locks, they could finally open the treasure box . This time, the treasure consisted of 15 points in Classdojo. On another occasion I would have given them chocolate coins.

In this resource you will find:

  • A 10 minutes video showing the game in details.
  • The link to the interactive Breakout – Treasure Hunt
  • 1 sheet where kids can write down passwords
  • Printable padlocks to write the secret codes

Behind this resource there are many hours of work, but it has been very worth it because my students have enjoyed it a lot.

HERE you can find a tutorial explaining how I created it step by step.

If you like it, let me know it with a comment in the reviews. Thank you!๐Ÿ˜Š
